The MCM1500 series of multifunctional telemetry systems is a brand-new product launched by ArenaPetro. It mainly serves in the field of wireline logging and includes multiple functions such as cable communication, downhole tool bus control, azimuth measurement, gamma measurement, and cable head parameter measurement. After more than a year of continuous research and development, the performance indicators of this series of products have been further improved.

This upgrade has improved the hardware equalization circuit, increasing the long cable compensation capability by 10 dB to 15 dB and significantly improving the transmission rate. On a typical 7,000-meter seven-core cable, the peak rate can reach more than 1.6 Mbps, which is about 35% higher than that of the MCM1200.

The typical technical indicators of the MCM1500 are as follows:

• On a 7,000-meter cable, it can achieve an uplink rate of 1.6 Mbps and a downlink rate of 100 Kbps (expandable to 200 Kbps).

• On a 10,000-meter cable, it can achieve a rate of 1.3 Mbps and a downlink rate of 100 Kbps (expandable to 150 Kbps).

• On a 13,000-meter cable, it can achieve 1.2 Mbps and a downlink rate of 100 Kbps.

• Under the above test conditions, the bit error rate BER does not exceed 2.0*10E-8.

• The maximum operating temperature is 175°C. After installing a thermos flask, it can reach 230°C.

• The downhole tool bus can be selected according to the actual situation among 1 Mbps/2 Mbps/3 Mbps/4 Mbps/5 Mbps/8 Mbps.

• With ArenaPetro's completely lossless data compression technology, the maximum uplink rate can reach 6 Mbps.

• With ArenaPetro's micro distortion technology, the maximum uplink rate can reach 20 Mbps.

The MCM1500 series telemetry system is currently the preferred telemetry system for openhole well rapid combination logging, through drill pipe logging and imaging logging, and VSP seismic logging. It is also the preferred data transmission system for cased well combination logging and imaging logging. It has the advantages of high performance-price ratio, comprehensive functions, reliable transmission, good compatibility, and strong adaptability. It can be matched with various downhole tools and surface systems and can also be customized according to user requirements, and has broad application prospects.
